Solar Media, the leading media and events producer in the UK’s renewable energy sector, has launched a new energy storage initiative and division. As part of this process Solar Media are undertaking a consultation period with senior industry stakeholders key to influencing the future of Energy Storage in the UK. Wattstor are delighted to have been invited to take part in this process and our Chief Technical Officer Rob Such will be joining the first round table discussion which will help to shape Solar Media’s development of first-class media & events to promote Energy Storage technology.
The Solar Energy UK show is one of the largest in the country and 75% of visitors expressed a strong interest in Energy Storage. With this in mind Solar Media are also keen to launch a conference in 2016 dedicated to the Energy Storage sector. More locally, Michael Danes, Wattstor’s Operations Director, has been invited on to the steering group for the SMART Cornwall Programme. SMART Cornwall was set up as an initiative to develop the a fully integrated smart energy system in Cornwall.
